TTC is back with a bang after a well-deserved Easter break, and this week we bring you a jungle special! Get on your skanking shoes and work off all those chocolate eggs you’ve been scoffing.

First up, we bring you the one and only DJ Randall on the ones and twos. For those that don’t know, Randall is what they call an original Junglist, the DJs’ DJ. If you ask Andy C or Friction who inspired their mixing style, they’ll say Randall. He started DJing in the mid 80s after hearing acid house at Notting Hill Carnival and quickly fell in love with rave culture.  After making a name for himself on pirate radio and the illegal rave circuit, Randall’s career really took off with his legendary sets at AWOL and World Dance. He fast established himself as one of the elite of the emerging drum & bass scene, with an unsurpassed tune selection and an impeccable reputation behind the turntables that he has maintained to this day.

Next, we welcome an up and coming young artist who has been consistently been putting out some of the most innovative beats in the business – Benton.

Widely recognised for his Wheel & Deal affiliation and Dubstep production such as “Out There”, Benton’s work has always been a staple of the UK underground scene. Over the years Benton has earned support from bass-weight heavyweights including N-Type, Skream, Benga and Youngsta amongst others.Developing his bone-shaking sound, Benton’s increasingly influenced by the jungle and hardcore sound which he grew up on. Embracing these diverse genres sees him shaking up his work following up a successful 2013 album “Reflections” with a fresh noise which has already been endorsed by the likes of Loefah, Klose One & Artwork.

His technical prowess and commitment to a sound that is deep and dirty means that Benton is set to continue to keep the raves moving with his sound.

Finally, TTC resident Andy H will warm up the crowd tonight with a special “History of Jungle” set, containing all the classics and jungle anthems which led the scene to be where it’s at today. From early 90’s hardcore, through to current day 140 jungle rollers, this is set to be a proper history lesson!
