An important update from The Tuesday Club team
Since The Tuesday Club began in 1998, our mission has been to bring the best in underground electronic dance music to Sheffield; in an accessible way, without diluting the rave culture.
Over the past 27 years, we have been honoured to bring hundreds of genre-defining artists to our mid-week event; witnessing many explode onto the scene to become massively respected artists, pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
During that time, we have seen huge shifts across the music industry and the night-time economy. Most prominently, a massive increase in the costs of running our events.
In reflection of rising costs, our ticket prices have also risen considerably over the years. This change has created a difficult, ever-increasing gap between what we have to charge per ticket and what we believe is an accessible amount to expect a student or young person to pay for a mid-week party.
Being completely transparent, the model of big-name acts and high ticket prices no longer works for us; we simply no longer feel comfortable with the amounts we are having to charge for entry to what is at its very core, an underground student clubnight.
It is time for a SYSTEM_REBOOT.
